The Food Bank, in conjunction with For Greater Elgin, invite volunteers to come help load groceries into vehicle trunks or backseats and directing traffic flow of vehicles in and out of the parking lot.
Anyone in the community that may need a little extra help during this time is welcome to attend. No ID is needed for neighbors receiving food.

The van/truck will arrive by 4:30PM, please check in with a Food Bank representative before 4:30PM so we have ample time to set up for the food distribution to begin at 5:00PM. How YOU will be helping at distribution: Volunteers will see our NIFB truck in the back portion of the parking lot on the garden center side. We will be distributing at the Dekalb Walmart parking lot. Parking is available in the lot. Please park further away from the truck, so customers can conveniently park. Look for a My Pantry Express sign and a Northern Illinois Food Bank vehicle. Please remember, many of the folks who are picking up may be accessing services like this for the first time and we want to make this as much of a normal and pleasant experience for them to know we are here to help them.
