The event is Saturday, September 12th! (Rain date will be Saturday, September 19th) What Volunteers Need to KnowWhen to arrive: Please plan to arrive on time for a full picking experience as it is difficult to estimate the time it will take to glean the field. Shift is from 7:30am until approximately 10:30amAge limit: Volunteers must be at least 8 years of age All minors must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years of age or older For a team of volunteers, one adult for every four youth ages 8-12 with a group is required; one adult for every ten youth ages 13-15. All volunteers MUST wear fully enclosed (toes and heels) shoes in order to participate in any Food Bank volunteer shiftIt is recommended that all volunteers: Wear a Northern Illinois Food Bank t-shirt if you have one Wear long pants Wear a long sleeve shirt Bring bug repellant Bring a hat and glovesPlease spread the word and encourage others to join us!
