What Volunteers Need to Know
When to arrive:
- Please plan to arrive at 7:45 AM to check in and receive instructions
- Shift is from 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM
What will volunteers be doing:
- Volunteers are needed to helping with food drive and donation collection from customers. This will involve:
- asking for donations and collecting cash in Food Bank marked containers
- accepting credit card donations as needed
- passing out flyers to let people know that the collections are benefiting Northern Illinois Food Bank
- Volunteers will assist outside in the parking lot near the Food Bank truck
- Volunteers will assist inside the store
Age limit: Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age
Notes for volunteers:
- This opportunity is targeted toward extroverts and those who enjoy talking to people!
- Wear a Northern Illinois Food Bank t-shirt if you have one
- Be prepared to stand and walk around outside or inside the store for the entire shift
