JOLIET: My Pantry Express & DoorDash Distributions (outdoor)

Description

Volunteers will assist with setting up and preparing for the DoorDash pick-ups and then assist with loading groceries directly into Dasher's vehicles when they arrive to pick-up for our neighbors

Food Bank Volunteers are NOT REQUIRED TO DRIVE OR DELIVER FOOD but instead, will assist with grocery distribution to DoorDash employees who pick up orders and then deliver them to neighbors nearby who have placed orders online for food from Northern Illinois Food Bank. Looking for volunteers to assist in packing food into boxes at the start of the shift and then loading it into dasher's vehicles as they arrive. 

Volunteers should plan to dress for the weather as they may be doing some packing indoors and then carrying boxes of food outside to load into vehicles throughout the shift.

Inclement Weather Plan: Volunteers will be notified via email should the weather affect the status of the distribution. Some of the shift may requires volunteers to work outside loading vehicles with food, while other parts of the shift require volunteers to sort and pack food inside the Joliet Center.
